As part of a unit entitled “Writing for the Workplace,” students in English 12 have been writing, revising, and editing resumes, cover letters, and other career-oriented communication. This week, students studied strategies for interview success, and even had a chance to interview one another as practice. Next week, students will put their skills to the test in interviews with community members.

The Refiner and Wildcat Cross Country runners will be running around Sunburst on Saturday, October 12, 2024. They will compete against Shelby to determine which team brings home the Toole County Trophy. The JH race begins at 9:30am followed by the HS race at 10am.
The start and finish areas are at the NTC Track/Football Field. They begin by running down the paved street by the grade school and then turn east to go down the alley by the Early Bird and run until they get to the fire hall. One of my favorite Montana Historical Society's lessons is this one called "Step into the Picture." Fourth grade students analyzed photographs, most of which were done by Montana's own Charlie Russell, to dive deeper into the history of Montana in the early 1800s. Tomorrow, we will be writing poetry based on our journey into the picture.
