Thank you Mac and Darcy from Circle M! We had the best BBQ lesson in Foods class today. We learned tips for barbecuing like a pro, watched Mac prepare a brisket for the BBQ and sampled some delicious pulled pork. We LOVE Circle M BBQ!
Easter Egg Hunt fun in Kiddie Kollege this week! Reminder families - we will not be in school for class next Tuesday. Kiddie Kollege will resume on Tuesday, April 9th.
Track Meet Cancelled
The HS track meet scheduled for Thursday, March 28, 2024, has been cancelled due to the weather.
Easter Break
Sunburst Schools will have a 12pm noon dismissal on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. There will be no school March 28-April 2. School will resume on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. We hope everyone has a fun and relaxing Easter break!

The NTCHS Prom will be held tomorrow, March 23, 2024. Parents and community members are invited to watch Grand March which will begin at 7pm in the NTC Gym.

Missoula Children's Theater (MCT)
MCT will be coming to Sunburst the week of April 8-12 to present "Treasure Island.". Permission slips for students in Kindergarten-6th grade will be coming home today, March 21, 2024. Students in 7th-12th grade are welcome to participate and do not need a permission slip.
Sunburst Schools has some big changes with rehearsal times this year. The Monday audition and first rehearsals Tuesday-Thursday will be from 1:30-3:30 during the school day. The second rehearsal times will be after school Monday-Thursday from 3:45-5:45.
3rd quarter reading goals were met, so it was time for 5th and 6th grade students to have some fun at the park this afternoon and a treat at the Early Bird. Great job, readers!

Thats a wrap for the 2024 FCCLA State conference! We played, learned and collected multiple wins at this ultimate leadership experience. We had four students win gold for their projects: Nikki, Riccardo, Tanner and Ali! We had five students qualify for nationals: Nikki, Ali, Ella, Kacey and Halle! Sunburst won the Goosechase competition! Halle was second in the bead necklace competition! Way to make us proud!
The 6th grade students had to figure out how to trap a leprechaun using problem solving and reading skills. They all enjoyed their reward for figuring out how to trap these tricksters!
FCCLA State Leadership Conference!
Off to a great start at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference! Nikki Nau was one of only five recipients in the state to earn the Ultimate Leader Award! Claire Bucklin earned one of the two Montana FCCLA Leadership and Service Scholarship Awards! Ali Nau, as the District 1 Vice President, helped to lead our District meeting. Good job ladies! Way to make Sunburst proud!
Next week the Elementary school students will be participating in "I Love to Read" Week! Our theme this year is "Camp Read S'more".

5th grade completed their St. Patrick's Day reading/puzzle challenge and enjoyed a treat at the end of the rainbow!
The Sunburst Schools February 2024 Students of the Month were recognized at the March Sunburst School Board Meeting. The high school student of the month was senior Austin Habets. The junior high student of the month was 8th grader Hali Rogers. The elementary school student of the month was 3rd grader Kim Mattfeld. Austin and Hali were in attendance at the board meeting. Mrs. Kerfoot shared their reasons for being recognized and the board commended the students for their great efforts. All students will receive certificates for being named Student of the Month.
