Spring Sports
Spring sports (golf & track and field) for high school begins on Monday, March 11. Junior high track and field begins March 25.
Boone and Crockett brought archery to Sunburst this week. All students grades 7-12 participated in two archery lessons. Highest point scorers were: Claire, Waylon, Kaiden, Jake and Nick. Thanks to Maddie for bringing this unique and fun sport to Sunburst!
Green Eggs and Foxes and Elephants, oh my! It was Dr. Seuss week in 1st grade and we had a blast!
It was a beautiful morning at Lake Sheloole for grades 3-6 who went ice fishing. Thank you to MT FWP Hooked on Fishing and the volunteers that made it possible for our students. It was a great morning!

Kiddie kollege was all about shapes this week! Students identified shapes in their obstacle course, in the classroom, in their craft book and on their snacks!

This weekend, Avani Champaneria presented Paul Laurence Dunbar's "We Wear The Mask" at the State Poetry Out Loud event and had a chance to talk with Poet Laureate Chris Latray.
The sixth grade class teamed up their library skills to find the keys to an escape room activity. They're halfway through the puzzle--next week they'll finish and escape or write about the ending of the story that started the challenge.
This has been a week of having fun while learning. On Tuesday, the entire school had an interactive art workshop, learning about color, shapes, and composition.

Kiddie Kollege started up this week! Students participated in a lesson created by Sabrina that included singing songs, playing counting freeze tag, cutting out snowflakes, and making a snowflake snack!
Science Showcase!
Sunburst Science Fair
The Sunburst Science Fair was held today, February 28, 2024, in the NTCHS Auditorium with a total of 26 projects being presented from students in 6th-8th grade. Special thanks to the amazing 21 judges that came and evaluated projects!
After judging, the final results were: 3rd Place -- Lillian Sudbrock; 2nd Place -- Raya Sagnella; 1st Place -- Coco Bucklin. The "Snaz It Up" award went to Cheyenne Miller and Kaley Sandon.
We are pleased to announce that 21 student projects will be moving on to participate in the Regional Science Fair in Great Falls on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
