School Bus Reminders!
Whenever a school bus is stopped, no matter the location, and utilizes the STOP sign on the side of a bus, drivers from BOTH sides of the road are required to stop for the safety of all school children.

2022 Sunburst Local Spelling Bee
Sunburst Schools held their annual spelling bee today with 38 participants from 5th-8th grade. The top 15 spellers and 2 alternates qualified for the Toole County Spelling Bee on February 7, 2022 at 6pm in the NTC Audtiorium.
Congratulations to all spellers for their great efforts. Special congratulations to Christopher Biesemeyer who is now a two time winner of our local Sunburst Spelling Bee.

More 2nd quarter awards!
Sunburst Elementary celebrated our students' successes during our 2nd quarter awards assembly. Students were recognized for making the honor roll, Think 30, Rocket Math. Accelerated Reader, Million Word Club, and attendance.
Refiner Basketball Game Update!
On Friday, the Sunburst Boys JV basketball game will only be a half game with two 8 minute quarters. This game will tip off at 4:45pm. The Varsity girls game will still begin at 6pm with the Varsity boys game to follow at 7:30pm.

Sunburst Schools will not have school on Monday, January 17th, in obervance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
Sunburst Schools runs four bus routes daily: 9 Mile driven by Adele Benjamin, Kevin driven by Mike Tobin, Oilmont driven by Lynn Kimmet, and Sweetgrass/Loop Road driven by Justyna May. All transportations services are maintained by transportation director Chris Blair. These folks do a great job of safely transporting our students to and from school daily!
