Refiner Tournament Action
Although we hope all Refiner fans can make it to Conrad to cheer on our Refiner teams, please note that all District 10C tournament games will be streamed via the NFHS network.

School Bus Reminders!
Sunburst Elementary and NTCHS both have student loading/unloading zones that are painted red . These areas are designated and marked for school bus parking. No vehicles should park in these areas between 7:55-8:15am as well as 3:25-3:35pm (or 2:25-2:35pm on Fridays). If a school bus is stopped in these designated loading/unloading areas, vehicles are required to wait and not drive past any school bus. Typically, the bus will also have a STOP sign extended. Regardless of whether the STOP sign is extended, vehicles on BOTH sides of the ride are required to stop. Thank you for making student safety a priority!
Refiner/Wildcat Extracurricular Activities
It is District 10C Tournament week for our Refiner teams. All 10C tournament games will be in Conrad.
The Lady Refiners enter tournament play as the 6th seed and will play Heart Butte on Wednesday at 7pm.
The Refiner boys enter tournament play as the 3rd seed and will play Valier on Thursday at 5:30pm.

Lunch Ladies Appreciation Week
Today our 4th graders helped clean up the lunchroom to help out our lovely lunch ladies!

Today we concluded lunch ladies appreciation week with a small celebration to thank Miss Lorrie, Miss Brandi, and Miss Leisha for all of their hard work and dedication to serving us delicious and nutritious meals daily. All week long we had the theme of "Our Lunch Ladies are Our Heroes" and used sub sandwiches as a fun play on words. The ladies all received sandwich cards and sub sandwiches to take home! Thank you lunch ladies!
February 14 Lunch Menu Change
On Monday, February 14th we will not be having pizza. US Foods (our supplier) is out of stock, so instead we will be having hot dogs.
Winter Sports Senior Night
The following students will be honored at senior night tomorrow, Feb. 10, at the Refiner home game vs. Simmes for their participation in extracurricular activities throughout their high school career.

100s Day
Today we celebrated the 100th day of school with a variety of fun activities including 100s stew, counting to 100, jumping to 100, seeing what students may look like when they are 100, and much more! Look for more pics soon!
We continued honoring our lovely lunch ladies today as our 1st grade class came to help clean up today! Thank you lunch ladies for all you do!

Toole County Spelling Bee Postponed!
The Toole County Spelling Bee scheduled for tonight, February 7, 2022, has been postponed because of the severe winds and the safety concerns of all Sunburst participants as well as the Shelby Schools activity bus to safely transport students to the bee. The Toole County Spelling Bee will be rescheduled for Tuesday, February 22, 2022, in Sunburst.

Toole County Spelling Bee
Sunburst will host the annual Toole County Spelling Bee on Monday, February 7, 2022, at the NTCHS Auditorium at 6pm. Participants should dress nicely and plan to arrive by 5:45pm.
Accelerated Reader Goals
Some of our 3rd/4th students earned a trip to the Early Bird Cafe recently for rmaking their 2nd quarter AR goal. Some students not only met their goal, but did double their goal!

10C District Basketball Passes are on sale starting tonight through February 22.
On Friday February 4, Sunburst will be traveling to play at Heart Butte. If you plan on attending, MASKS are required by those attending.
Game Times: JV Boys 4:30, Varsity girls 6, Varsity Boys 7:30.
5th-8th Ski Day
5th-8th grade Showdown ski day will be tomorrow, February 7, 2022. The bus will leave Sunburst at 5:20am, 4 Corners at 5:30am, and Shelby at 5:50am. Students are advised to bring layers of clothing to stay warm. Students should plan to pack snacks, a lunch (or lunch money), and a sack dinner (or money for stopping at MacDonalds). The bus is estimated to return to Shelby at 8:00pm, 4 Corners at 8:20pm, and Sunburst at 8:30pm.
Preschool 2022
Today was our first day of preschool. We were excited to welcome five preschool students today. Preschool meets weekly on Wednesdays from 9-11am and joins our kindergarten class.
